Do I need an account?
No. Dreamcatcher works straight away without signing up. Until you add an email, your dreams belong to this install of the app only, so deleting the app or changing phones loses them.
How do I keep my dreams when I change phones?
Before you switch, open Settings › Account and create an account with your email. Your existing dreams carry over. On the new phone, install Dreamcatcher and sign in with the same email and password.
Can I get a copy of my dreams?
Yes. Settings › Your data › Export dreams saves your whole journal as a file you can keep anywhere.
Speaking a dream doesn't work
Dreamcatcher needs microphone access (and on iPhone, speech recognition). If you said no the first time, tap the message under the dream to open the app's settings and turn them on. Your phone's built-in speech recognition turns speech into text; Dreamcatcher never records your voice.
Pro and the Day Pass
What does Pro include?
A reading and a painted picture every day, the widget opening already listening, and the sky that night. Writing and speaking dreams is always free.
How does the free trial work?
The yearly plan starts with 7 days free. You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. The trial is offered once per Google Play or Apple account.
How do I cancel?
- Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions › Dreamcatcher › Cancel.
- iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Dreamcatcher › Cancel.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
What is the Day Pass?
A one-time $1.99 purchase that unlocks Pro for 24 hours from the moment you buy it. It doesn't renew.
I paid but Pro isn't on
Open Settings › Subscription › Restore purchases, signed in to the same Google Play or Apple account you paid with. If it still isn't on, email us with your account ID.
Refunds
Payments go through Google Play or the App Store, so refunds are handled by them: Google Play's refund request page, or Apple's reportaproblem.apple.com.
Readings and pictures
Are readings advice?
No. Readings are written by AI for reflection and curiosity. They aren't medical, psychological or therapeutic advice.
Something in a reading or picture is wrong or upsetting
Tap Report under it. A copy goes to us for review.
Your data
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings › Your data › Delete account. Everything is deleted straight away. No longer have the app? See deleting your data.
